I like to take the time to enter all of my students using their student ID's. This makes it so we don't have to worry about what remote a student gets. They can pick any one up, enter their # and be on. Clemmons and I, really Clemmons, but I am takng partial credit, found out how to import the students once one team member has entered them. It is too much for me to type here, but if you are interested, let us know. I still think there has got to be an easier way to do the entering. Do we have access to qwizdom support people to ask that question?

I asked Beth this same thing during the summer. I didn't know if SIMS could be imported to a spreadsheet and then uploaded to Quizdom? That would be much easier. I think that using their ID number will be easiest so that they can use Quizdom in all classes without memorizing a bunch of numbers!

I would like to give Bernard the Quizdom credit and as Erica stated, it is important for everyone to be on the same page and use the same methods. With the amount of new, cool ideas and technologies we have, allowing different members of the team to share the workload is quite helpful.

Trust me, what Bernard did really helped me set up my classes. I just had to add and delete the ones that we have different periods. My question is this: If I make up a Quizdom and another math teacher makes up one, is there anyway we can share those with each other? I am sure there is an easy way, but I just don't feel comfortable enough yet to know how. Tim Downing made stickers with their student number and they put them in their planner. That's a neat idea.

If we each make Quizdom's up, can't we just share them with our thumb drive? You know...like Jan would just save Betsy's quizdom on her thumb drive.

Idea: can we have a place on the server for grade level specific quizdom's? If we all share them, but also save them in a way people will know what they are without having to search (ex: 1 step equations) then it will save time!

I wonder if someone in the office - even student workers - could mail merge student name and ID # onto address labels so students can have thier ID number in their planner with them all of the time!

Not trying to create new things for people to do...just an idea!

Okay...to share Qwizdom activities, just select the activity/folder you want and click on File, Export. To bring in others' activities, use File, Import.

Beth says we can export activities and save them on the G: drive (the Shared Folder, maybe, since we don't have rights to save in the Protected Files area). Having a folder for each department sounds like a good idea.

But, yes, Erica - you can just save them on a thumb drive, e-mail them, whatever. Good idea!

Just want to send my PROPS to Sean - he spent his planning period helping me iron out all of my difficulty with Qwizdom...Yippee!!! I am going to use them as often as I can possibly write material.

Anyone know how to take the powerpoint into ActionPoint and use it?

Hey! If you want to share class rosters or activities from Qwizdom...there is a way! Select the class/activity and export and save it to a memory stick or the shared drive. Then the other person can import from those files. The key to it is to be in the area that you are wanting to import. (Example: If you are importing a class...be in students)
I know that this may be confusing, so come see me or email and let me know if you want me to assist you!
